Registration

On this page you will find information to troubleshoot with the registration of your Pointlogic software product.


How do I register my software?

I don't have an (active) internet connection

Please send in your request using the button 'Create register file' the Register screen. Save this file on your computer and send it to support@pointlogic.com. If all information you provided is correct you will receive an activation/ unlock code after your request has been processed.

 

I received an activation code but it does not work

Please check first if the serial key which you see in the Register screen matches the one which is given in the e-mail we have sent you. In case the serial keys don't match you do not have sufficient access permission rights to the folders in which our software is installed, please check this page for guidance.

After correcting the file and folder permissions locate the '.lck' file (this file contains the registration information) in the installation folders. Delete the file and restart the software. You will then see the Register screen again. With the Register screen you can request a new activation code.


My serial key has changed

In case the serial key in the activation e-mail we've sent you does not correspond with the one in the Register screen, you do not have sufficient access permission rights to the folders in which the software is installed. Please check this page for guidance.

After correcting the file and folder permissions locate the '.lck' file (this file contains the registration information) in the installation folders - C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Pointlogic\Registration. Delete the file and restart the software. You will then see the Register screen again. With the Register screen you can request a new activation code.

In case you are receiveing the 'A corrupt registration was found' message you do not have sufficient access permission rights to the folders in which the software is installed. Please check this page for guidance.

License expired

Location of the .lck file (typically Protect_XXXX*.lck):

 

Network installation

For a network installation the following location applies: ..\\Pointlogic\Softwareproduct\Data\. Note that the network installation location can vary depending on company policies/settings. Contact your IT department for assistance on locating the .lck file.

 

Clickonce installation 

For a Clickonce installation the following location applies: ..C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Pointlogic\Registration. Note that this location is (by default) hidden for regular Microsoft Windows User profiles. Contact your IT department for assistance on locating the .lck file.

Error while trying to access

I have to request an activation code each time I start the software

In case you have to request a new activation code each time you start the software, you do not have sufficient access permission rights to the folders in which our software is installed, please check this page for guidance.

You will then see the Register screen again. With the Register screen you can request a new activation code.


I did not receive my activation code

Please follow these instructions to correctly request your activation code.

 

It is essential that you send us the correct information. Based on your details (E-mail, Company, Country) a check is performed to grant or deny access to our software. In case you have not entered your information correctly you will not receive your activation code. Please restart the software to check your details and if necessary send in a new request for your activation code.

 

Are you working for an external IT company?
Make sure to send in the request providing with the client's credentials.


It took quite some time before I received my activation code

Some requests require specific checks which cause a delay. These checks might include a check with a specific department of your company or with our Finance department. Contact us if you have any question.
